Background: Ms. Leong has been an owner and manager of Pono Pacific, along with her husband John since 2001. During this time, she has been a valuable contributor to the company’s growth in employees and revenue, with responsibilities in business development, management, project management, system quality control, marketing development, project leadership, and field management. Ms. Leong’s field experience includes trail development and maintenance, fence/exclosure building, data collection and monitoring, botanical survey, invasive species removal, native forest restoration work, helicopter long-line and short-line certified, and long-term area management. Ms. Leong likes spending time with loved ones, including her best friend and husband John, daughters Tearama‘eha and Heikura Hererangi, and son Mataora Taharoa. Her hobbies also consist of hiking, swimming, paddling, running, dancing, traveling, camping, reading, planting, and nurturing.
