
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Zoology, University of Hawaii at Manoa
Background: Mr. Naboa has a prominent background as a Natural Resource Manager for The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Ka‘ū and Kona Hema Preserves on Hawai‘i island. He brings extensive knowledge and experience in conservation management and practices from his experiences at TNC and other locations of employment. He has managed thousands of acres at once and continues to manage several of the land holdings Pono Pacific oversees on Hawaii Island. He coordinated and implemented invasive vegetation management programs, as well as ungulate control activities in order to maintain the integrity of native habitat. Mr. Naboa also has a passion for educating youth and the public in Hawaii’s unique natural resources through outreach activities. He is an expert in GIS programming and does all of Pono Pacific’s inhouse GIS work. Mr. Naboa currently manages all projects on Hawaii Island, including those at Hakalau National Wildlife Refuge, Pu‘u Kali‘u forest in Puna, and Akoakoa Point in Kohala. In his free time, Mr. Naboa continues his conservation efforts through volunteer opportunities and enjoying Hawaii’s outdoors.
